The Avon Run 2018 Terms and Conditions

We would like to keep our terms and conditions and rules to a minimum, but they will nevertheless be enforced where your safety is concerned. Our decision we be final in matters thus concerning. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment all teams will be required to agree to the Terms and Conditions of The Avon Run, stated herein, which have been made available electronically or issued physically at the pre-start registration. It is of the utmost importance that all drivers, passengers and other parties directly or indirectly involved with the event, abide by the Laws and statutes of the United Kingdom and England in particular. If payment is not received within one week of registration, or before the event whichever is sooner, your registration will not be guaranteed. Last minute or special arrangements including cash payments can be made by prior arrangement with the operator.

The No Racing rule

This event is categorically not a race, and anyone who thinks or acts otherwise will be forbidden from permitting. Likewise, any anti social behaviour will not be tolerated.

The No Contact Rule

The Avon Run is not a fairground ride. While the safety and any damages sustained to your vehicle are inherently your own responsibility, bumping into or nudging other team cars, whether driving or parked, is strictly prohibited. Any collisions or traffic accidents will result in automatic disqualification.

Condition of the Car

Whether you come in a banger, classic car or a brand new vehicle, it must be road worthy, and the Registration number of your vehicle will be checked against current DVLA records to ensure it is taxed, MOT’d (where required) and otherwise safe to participate.

Environmental Concerns

In addition to our strict no anti-social behaviour policy, we must also stipulate the following. Loud music or noise than is a nuisance, or distraction to the team or other road users will also not be tolerated. All litter must be collected and disposed of accordingly in an environmentally suitable fashion. Bags will be provided and no litter dropping of any kind will be permitted.


You must bring your driving license at the start of the event – without these you are not permitted to participate with no exceptions.

Unsafe modifications

While zealous, enthusiastic and humorous modifications to your vehicle is encouraged; no cars with modifications which are deemed to be unsafe will be permitted to participate. These include anything which could cause a hazard to your own team or other road users.

Refund Policy

Unfortunately, refunds can only be made if you inform us within 3 days after payment is made. We are however happy to accept changes to team members at any time before the event day, so you can transfer your entry to other willing participants. The Avon Run 2018, and Blox Events, will be unable to issue refunds based on warranty claims. Due to the nature of this event, refund requests will not be honoured in cases of individual or group problems, bad experience or otherwise.


The format and layout of the event is protected by Copyright and as such any attempt to replicate completely or in part the facets, layout or content of The Avon Run 2018 is strictly forbidden.


In the unlikely event the Event should be cancelled, by Blox Events or as a result of unforeseen circumstances, a selection of alternative dates will be provided for you to transfer your ticket to.

Charity Beneficiaries

The profits of The Avon Run 2018 will be donated in full, split between the named charities. This therefore implies the costs and financial commitments of the Event will be deducted from the total raised and the subsequent profit divided between both charities. The decision for charities chosen and the division thereof has already been fairly and completely decided, and is therefore not open for discussion.


In consideration of the right to participate in The Avon Run 2018, the vehicle owner(s) and participant(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blox Events, Bloxwich Group, Bloxwich Trading Ltd, Evesham Town, Wychavon District Council, The Masonic Charitable Foundation, The Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter, property owners, agents, volunteers and anyone else connected to the management or presentation of the The Avon Run 2018 event from and against any and all liability of the loss that the owner(s)/ participant(s), guests, friends or family members of such vehicle owner(s) and/or participant(s) may sustain or incur as a result of claims, demands or judgments arising from the vehicle owner (s)/participant(s) involvement in the Avon Run 2018.
